I had the pleasure of collaborating with Wild Atlantic Surf company to develop their clothing brand and bring their values to life. From our initial discussions, it was clear that they were not only dedicated to their craft, but also deeply rooted in their local community in Ireland. They expressed their desire to work with local Irish illustrators to create a range that truly represented their ethos.
Throughout our calls and communications, we delved into the details of their vision. They outlined the elements they wished to include in their range, providing insights into what they hoped the designs would convey. They were drawn to my previous work, believing that its style would align with their brand.
The two designs we developed together were centered on the idea of encouraging people to embrace the outdoors. The first design embodied the spirit of resilience with the slogan "Go against the current." It aimed to motivate individuals to challenge themselves and pursue their dreams fearlessly. The second design, featuring the slogan "A life un-tamed," captured the essence of living a boundless and adventurous life. Both statements I could fully get behind and was excited to bring them to life.
Designs were developed and altered so as the could be printed on black and white clothing and the design should remain strong.
Working closely with Wild Atlantic Surf company was a dream. They were not only passionate about their process and brand values, but they also had a strong commitment to sustainability. Their dedication to minimizing their environmental impact was fantastic to see. It was a joy to collaborate with like-minded individuals who shared a common goal of creating a brand that was both aesthetically pleasing and environmentally conscious.
I'm thrilled to announce that these designs can now be found on Wild Atlantic Surf company's apparel range and sand-free towels. It was a pleasure to contribute to their journey and witness their vision come to fruition.
